DAAFT is an organization of dubbing artists in the film and television industry. Since its formation 15 years back, the organization has made it’s mark through varied activities. The members of this organization are a group of extremely talented and creative individuals. The association was formally inaugurated on 8 February 1998 with Mr. Suresh Gopi as the Chief Guest. On 1st December 2002, DAAFT received a Trade Union registration. DAAFT, with many welfare activities in our list, is marching ahead in harmony. By resolving disputes, obtaining descent remuneration and by helping the needy and sick among it’s members, DAAFT is successful in securing its member’s future. Ever since DAAFT was formed, many great talents were our guiding lights. We take this opportunity to pay our tributes those who led us.
Our main objectives and goals.
1) To improve the relationship between the members of the association and their employees.
2) To help the needy members.
3) To improve their living standards.
4) To address their grievances.
5) To create ways to help and support them in times of sickness, old age, unemployment, death etc.
6) To endeavor to settle disputes between members and their employees.
7) To associate with Organizations (of labor) particularly those having similar objectives & thereby achieve its goals.
The charter meeting was held on 23 March, 1997 at Trivandrum Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram.
In the primary meeting those who present were Kottayam Santha, Bhagyalakshmi, Meena Nevil……….etc.

Every year members along with their family come together and celebrate Onam festival.
As part of our self promotion and to raise funds for our welfare activities we are conducting stage shows.
O In 1998 we staged ‘DAAFT – Kalasandhya’ in the ‘Onam Week’ celebration.
O 14 April 1998 DAAFT honored Mammooty at the recreational function at Nishaganthy Auditorium by presenting a memento,
when he was awarded the ‘Padma Shree’.
O In 2002 DAAFT staged a show ‘Swaram 2002’
O In 2007 DAAFT repeated ‘Swaram’ stage show along with ‘Guru Pooja’
O In 2012, as part of the Onam celebration, DAAFT staged ‘Swaram’ at Nishagandhi auditorium.
